I don’t know about you, but I like projects. I love the idea of creating something and often the idea of creating is as good as or better than the creating itself. I’m forever looking around for inspiration and when I find things I like, I put them on my project list. Currently I have more projects on my list than I could probably complete in the next ten years, but that doesn’t stop me from adding more projects as the ideas strike. My husband can’t stand it! He’s not a hobbyist, particularly not a crafty or artsy hobbyist, so he can’t understand it either. It drives him nuts when I buy supplies for a project when I have six more unfinished projects sitting around at home. Take last week, for instance.
I went with my neighbor to our local JoAnn’s to get a set of quilt square with my 50% off coupon. Just a set of quilt squares, that’s all I needed. That’s all he thought I’d come home with. Until I saw the candy making aisle and remembered that I wanted to make Oreo lollipops for Valentines Day. Can’t make those unless I have the sticks, right? And the bags to wrap them in. And then I saw thermal quilt batting and remembered that I wanted to make some potholders to match the aprons I just made, so I had to buy some. Especially when I found a little piece left on the bolt and they would sell it to me for the remnant price. But that wasn’t enough so I had to get an extra yard just in case I wanted to make everyone pot holders for Christmas. And apparently you can’t use thermal batting without regular cotton batting too, so I had to get some of that which was fine since I had to get some anyway to finish some little quilt projects. By the time I was done, my trip just for quilt squares turned into two bags of supplies. But they were all to finish projects so it’s okay.
I figure this blog will be a good place to keep a record of what I’m working on and to share ideas. If nothing else, it will be another project to put on my list!

Amanda, I can’t believe all of your talents (and patience!) I have to say that I believe almost all women have “project lists” – me, being one of them. I look forward to checking out this blog for inspiration (and motivation).

LOL That’s so funny! At least you REMEMBER what projects you have going…. I usually get home and then KICK myself for not getting this, that or the otherthing…… while I was at the store and then I have to go BACK! ACK!
